Danny Davis withdraws from Cook County race:
- After filing candidacy papers for two offices in the February primary, U.S. Rep. Danny Davis decided Monday to seek another term in Congress.
The Chicago Democrat had been wavering between running for Cook County board president and seeking re-election in the 7th congressional district, saying he wanted to know who would be on the ballot before he made a final decision.
One more to drop out? Preckwinkle or Brown? One is a Machine stalking horse that has been used before to split minority support which Toddler needs desperately to win. And can suburban republicans be bothered to come out en masse and vote against the Toddler should he win the primary?
