• Anne Kirkpatrick will leave the Chicago Police Department for a new job in California.
  
  Sources confirm that Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf selected Kirkpatrick to lead the city's embattled police department. Some insiders expected Schaaf to choose a woman after saying she was here to run a police department, not a "frat house."
  
  Kirkpatrick will be the first woman to fill that spot in Oakland's history.

Seeing as how she pretty much blackmailed Rahm for a spot with threats of a Federal lawsuit, she was never very popular with the brass or political set. Watching her wear a uniform she did nothing to earn gave lie to the entire "Earned Not Given" push - which was pretty much dead anyway when you saw all the cheaters given promotions and political hacks pushed ever higher.

Oakland is going to eat her alive.
