In case you've been living under a rock:
- This notice is intended to inform Department members that a hearing for Mike Mette will be held on 11 September 2008 at 1030 hours at the Iowa Court of Appeals. This hearing is open to the public, however, seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis. A representative of the Department will be attending on behalf of the Superintendent.
The Mette family has noted that the support of Department members would be greatly appreciated.
The Iowa Court of Appeals is located at 111 East Court Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50319.
In response to requests from various members of the Department, attached, please find copies of the letter that the Superintendent sent to Governor Chet Culver of Iowa, the Iowa Parole Board and the Dubuque County Attorney.
Of course, we wouldn't put it past Iowa authorities to change a whole bunch of stuff at the last minute, but in the meantime, anyone putting together a bus trip?
