From Mike's Dad:
- Last week Mike was cleared to work by the doctor but when he was working his incision started to blister so he went to the infirmary and they told him not to work. This week they put him back out to work and again the blistering started and he went to the infirmary. This time the same nurse who misdiagnosed his appendicitis refused to treat him and told he had to go back to work. When he complained to her about that and his appendix treatment she told him appendixes burst all the time. A guard intervened and took him off work but then they punished him with two days room confinement with no privileges.
The EXACT SAME nurse who almost killed Mike by not recognizing the signs of appendicitis and telling him he had a stomach ache is now sending Mike back to work with what could possibly be an infected surgical wound. We don't know what passes for medical knowledge in Iowa, but we'd bet that the hogs raised for slaughter on Iowa pig farms get better treatment than a copper railroaded by an ignorant judge and a malpracticing nurse. What the fuck?
